<scp>COVID</scp> ?19 pandemic, vaccine nationalism and counterfeit products: Discourse and emerging research themes

Although “vaccine nationalism” and vaccine diplomacy have thus far typified the COVID-19 rollouts around globe, there remain limited scholarly insights on global distribution strategies. This research note (RN) examines strategies implications for public policy governments. In conceptualizing into three competing perspectives (i.e., nationalism,” diplomacy, initiative), this article highlights divergent effects of different approaches in terms ushering elements nationalism ethnocentrism. By contextualizing discourse pandemic highlighting role pharmaceutical companies passport, study also offers pathways further examination subject incorporating contextual conditions.
